Once I saw an article in a radio magazine about receiving TV on your radio.(early fifties)
On a certain time you need to put a towel in front of the speaker and the radio company did the rest.
A few numbers later of that radio magazine stood the solution.
It was a practical joke on April the first.
Some people used a wet towel for better results, haha.
So when I read this article of Valve 72 it remember me on that 1-April joke and was curious if it was a real message.

A wet towel on a mains connected radio health and safety would have a sissy fit nowadays.

On the front of the radio, only where the speaker part is.
