Nice find

No LED gadgets, spins too slowly.  Gotta  love preheat and MV. let the lights keep my meter spinning.

This is essentially the predecessor to a Norelco tube right?

@ace100w120v- Yes, that's correct. Philips purchased ITT Lighting (formerly Champion Lampworks) in 1973. Lamps made from thereon were made under the Norelco brand until around 1983.

Preheat and T-12 fluorescents forever! Down with LED's and instant start T-8 fluorescents.

I have a bunch of these as well as Champion and Ken-Rad. They came from a School we demoed back in 1981 and I still have them and all work! I even had some in use in the preheaters in my museum trailer until I went to all new Sylvania F40DX lamps. I have them in discarded T-8 lamp boxes saved from the trash where I used to work (torn down in 2013-14) and they are in my trailer boxed by brand. I had a SLEW of old AMPLEX F40's too, from a store in Troy, Ny, but forgot them when I left the place I worked, and they are now history Yeah that was stupid because the Amplex lamps are rare. I have a couple of rare Sharlin Lite branded lamps too. Ah well such as life I do still have a good number of Amplexes though. Rick D.
