I assume these would be a bit underdriven on european 80W mercury gear due to the higher arc voltage resulting in slightly lower current? I thought the US spec 100W mercury lamps were OK on 70W SON/MH gear but this is 950mA whereas you state this lamp runs on 800mA.

Say NO to DICTATORSHIP in the form of bulb/tube/ballast bans !!

Yep according to American Sylvania MErcury Lamp Bulitin, and various online US Lamp Catalogues, they say 130 volts 0.8 amps, and interstingly in the UK Iwasaki EYE catalogue and online they have them as 115 volts 1.0 amps, yes I have known them to be run on a UK 70w SON/MH Ballast as the Lamp current is the same but the lamp voltage is 25 volts lower (90 volts)

Abco tend to use verious source for lamps. Sadly most American lamps are made in china now . If u read the fine print on the packaging it will say Westinghouse name under Abco of course it china made. I got 48 Westinghouse lamps coming.

Gotta love preheat and MV. let the lights keep my meter spinning.
