These would look really cool in a traffic signal! The colors would be very rich.

The colors are pretty accurate in the picture. Though to my eyes in real life the yellow lamp is brightest. I thought about making a little traffic light with these though I suppose they would work well for an actual signal in a home display.

Now regarding the ceiling fan. I'm not sure what you mean by "better" exactly it works & it came with the apartment so there's no motivation to change it

Personally i think that all Lamp Bans are idiotic, the idea of telling us we cant use this lamp type just cause its less efficent is highly communist in nature...really what good is it going to do?

Hampton Bay Glendales have really weak Motors, if you bend the blade just a bit, the motor rmdrastically slowes down. Give it a few years it'll have a bad capacitor. Also it might have a wattage limiter for the light.

Probably TCP or Feit Electric. These cheat and use white LEDs under a colored globe.

Old school FTW!

no idea what manufacturer the lamps are sourced from they are Great Value branded ones from walmart. and Yes the Globes are Colored though i never have confirmed if the LED's underneath the colored globe are colored though i wouldn't be suprised if they were white LED's under it.

though i don't really consider it cheating.

these lamps are pretty much excactly like the 8.5 Watt 5000K lamps i have also great value.

and Yes the Green Lamp does look like a well Aged Mercury Vapor lamp. its slightly blueish.

The smaller GV colored ones use white leds for all colors, I dropped a few last year by accident and the glass globes shattered and they where all white after that..
