Sylvania 300 watt incandescent

Click to view full size image

This is an old 300 watt incandescent lamp I used to use in my wellhouse to keep the pipes from freezing. I have found that a 250 watt infrared actually works better so this one is in my collection now.

LOL Yes, I have only this one (it is at least 20 years old) and a couple little 40 watt appliance lamps that I replaced with CFLs in my refrigerators. I gave away a few of the ones I had when I first bought my house. I do have some 175 and 400 watt Metal Halide fixtures, two LED night lights and several 250 watt Infrared heat lamps. I use the infrareds for keeping my baby chickens warm and my water pipes from freezing in the wellhouse. Other than these, everything I own is fluorescent. Oh, I do have a few Neon beer signs hanging on the shop wall!

I love fluorescent lighting, especially "old school" technology and I love diesel engines.

Even though I have mostly uploaded pictures of preheaters, I also have an extensive collection of incandescent bulbs from the 1890s to the early 1980s, also I have about 200+ HID lamps and 21 street lights (mostly mercury vapor).

Say NO to bulb bans! The bulb ban IS inline with the principles of communism. Yes, exactly.

I post mostly fluorescent stuff on L-G. To see my other pics of lamps click here.

Alights, yes. I like all lighting, but fluorescent has always been my favorite. I currently have 23 400 watt MH high bay fixtures, made in 2001, 2 175 watt and 5 400 watt MH flood lights, 2 50 watt HPS wall pack and various lamps, ballasts, capacitors and ignitors, none of which are very old or special. I would like to find a nice old mercury fixture because I like the "blue" color.
