In the past this part of the gallery had 2 columns and later increased to 4 columns. Today there are 3 columns. why?

We reduced when we put in the random files sections, which added two more rows.  We know everyone likes their pictures to remain visible.  However, if we show too many, it will increase the page load time and require more scrolling to see the sections near the bottom of the page.
