Hello Everyone, It is with a great amount of excitement that we, the administrative team of Lighting-Gallery.net, announce the SIXTH ANNIVERSARY of our beloved website! On May 28, 2005, Phillip Slawinski, who, at the time, was a high school student, decided to create a website devoted to HID lighting (as he was very interested in lighting at the time). Phillip is a very intelligent and creative individual, who is fascinated with electricity, and currently designs and fabricates high-voltage Tesla Coils. For anyone interested in seeing Phil's TCs and experiments, click here!Furthermore, Lighting-Gallery.net would not be what it is today without certain veteran members. One particular member who stands out in my mind is David DeSantis. He joined this site only two days after it launched, and is still a very active member. Jason Chapman has also been a very influential party in this site's success. He is known as "TudorWhiz" and is also an administrator of "GalleryofLights.org". Not only is Jason an expert on streetlights, but he is also a great friend...to me, and to all lighting-enthusiasts. I don't want to forget to mention Patrick Collora and David Lay. Pat and Dave (aside from myself) have invested time, energy, and passion for this site. We're all proud to maintain a site that is pleasant, friendly, engaging, and, most importantly "fun". I'd like to express a sincere "thank you" to ALL active members for being a part of this site...and may it live on, for many years to come! |

I too appreciate the efforts of those involved in the creation and ongoing maintenance of this great site, as well as the fantastic members I've conversed with so far. I've only been a member a short time after spending a few months as an 'observer' and it's been really great to see examples of everything lighting related from all corners of the world and I realise that although many countries have their individual ways of illuminating things we all follow similar paths of interest. I've never come across another group of people from all walks of life who appreciate the same things I do including it seems an almost universal love of T12 and LPS it seems . Many thanks Al Martin |

Thanks Brian and Everyone! I have appriecated helping work on this site for the roughly 3 years working on this page, This page has CHANGED a LOT! The interface, the fuctions, the features, everything! My first project of the page was when the forum fixture was added, and the pictures had to be catagorized to 4 catagories...it took me 3 days to catagorize the existing pictures into the 4 basic cataorities. There was already roughly 2,000 pictures at that time!!! A lot has happened. Phil did not think or expect this site to ever to be this popular! But it indeed did! Brian when he joined the site, I noticed a strong personality, a guy who makes great announcements, a guy who has worked as manager dealing with people, tries hard to give support, I thought he would be a great candiate to br an admin! So I chose him to help out! Glad this page made it 6 years! And thanks for the regonization! -Jace |

Great news , I came across this site from a link off James Hookers LAMPTECH, and was stunned by how many lighting enthusiasts there was all over the world. Its great that, from here, we in the UK, can see and learn about lighting from the US, Europe, Australia, and the middle eastern countries. Long may it last Rich |

Already 6 years? Wow. Next November it'll be 4 years since I subscribed here, too LOL. I'm not as active here as I've been before, mainly because of school and work, but I still visit the page daily ^_^. It is unthinkable to tell how much I've learned from here. Even if my passion actually started in early 2007, it's here that I developed my interest for lighting. And today I have over half-a-thousand incandescent lamps, 300 fluorescents, a cobrahead, and lots of other stuff. Never thought it'd be like this back in 2007 I also improved my English amazingly here. From lame, it got to pretty much perfect! May Lighting-Gallery last for years to come! |

I still use old lighting technology, it has absolutely no environmental impact, because my house is fed by hydroelectricity. ^_^

And long may it continue!
I discovered this site in December 2010 via Google and this was the best Christmas present I could wish for. I have forged one or two good friendships with members with whom I am in contact almost daily and have begun swapping lamps with fellow members.
Before the emergence of sites like this there was good reason for lamp collectors to feel forced to enjoy their hobby in isolation; the formation of this group has eradicated this view from the minds of many, and has added a new, social dimension to this fascinating subject.
Well done to everyone involved in delivering LG, and thanks to all members with whom I've shared dates, general info and jokes with over the past six months I've been a member.

I've joined lg in 2008. I was searching for Philips SL pictures in the www and found this page. This is by far the forum / community with the friendliest members I've ever seen. I would say this page and their members are unique and "troll" is an unknown vocabulary here. Long live lighting gallery.net !!! |

I've had an interest in electricity and lighting since 11 yrs. old in 1979. After I joined this in 2006, my basic knowledge on lighting has skyrocketed but there are still many more things for me to keep learning here...such as the rapidly changing new tech stuff. |
