Can I use a 100w  :mv: in a ballast for 50w  :mv: ?

it would underdrive the 100 watt  :mv: with severe arc tube blackening and can reduce ballast life.
H 38 ballast can be found cheap on ebay from time to time. beside small ballast is getting harder to find.
so it not recomended to do so.

No LED gadgets, spins too slowly.  Gotta  love preheat and MV. let the lights keep my meter spinning.

Pulse-MH 70W ballast have the same characteristic as the H38, so you may use it. You should only deactivate the ignitor in the MH ballast.
