Hello! Sorry that this is miscategorized, as I could not find a topic anywhere it would be fit to post it under.
I have a question that hopefully someone can answer. Is there any way to change a photo that has already been uploaded and replace it with a new (different) photo, while retaining the original title, description, etc of the old photo? I wanted to change/update some of my photos with better ones, but could not see any other option than deleting the old photo entirely, and submitting a new one.

Easy! Just name the new file the exact same name as the old one, including case, and upload it. It will replace the one in the album selected, without anything else being changed, at all.
Good thing is to post in the gallery afterwards to say it has changed and the reason why. |

Could you run that by me again? What do you mean "change the name"? The filename, or title name, or...? I tried changing just the title name upon upload, and it didn't work. Told me I needed to enter a description. |

I guess he means that - if you want to replace DSC0001.JPG that is displayed now, you change the name of the new image to DSC0001.JPG and then upload it to overwrite the existing file |

I must be an idiot or something, because this seems so simple, and I can't do it.
I tried: >Re-naming actual file on my computer to filename of file in gallery, and uploading. It says that I need to provide title, description, category. I do all that copied from the original submission, and it just adds the new photo and does not replace it.
>Uploading new photo with same title as old photo, and that didn't work.
>Uploading file with "test" as title and description, and then copying and pasting the filename from the submission that I want to change the photo on, and I get the error "Critical Error: ______.JPG already exists." |

To replace an existing file in the gallery, browse to the file you want to replace and click the Replace File link located under the caption next to the Delete this File link. If you do not see the link, make sure you are logged in.
Uploading a new file with the same name as an existing one is not supposed to replace the old file. The new file is supposed to be renamed automatically. |

I am logged in. I click on a random submission of mine, look at where it says "Crop And Rotate", "Edit File Info" and "Dlete This File" and I see nowhere where it says I can replace a file. |

I didn't have the feature enabled for non-admins. Try it now. |
