Replace File Button « on: July 26, 2012, 05:11:00 AM » Author: Danny
I just want to know, How long has that "Replace this file" Button been there?

I just want to say, I think that is awesome, especially as some of my photos aren't the best quality, so I will now be replacing the pictures and i am very happy that I don't have to lose the comments

Thanks guys Smiley

Thanks, I added it a little while back.  It's a plugin for Coppermine.  It's even possible to update a YouTube video or its thumbnail if you manipulate the file name.

I use that button all the time - it's really useful. Saves losing all the comments and re-posting the pic. I think people would get frustrated if they found an picture (that they had already commented on) and had to re-post their comments. Having the 'replace file button' is quite productive. Also, members may request a clearer picture, making the process for the OP much easier!

This is a great idea, I'm sure I'll want to update some of my pictures in the future.

Perhaps a section on the front page with "Last Updated Pictures" will be a good idea, maybe under "Last Additions"? Smiley
