Hopefully it was HPS, and not MV or MH. This would have been hilarious if it had been a Durastar or LED fixture. Grin
They should have at least put a matress under it to catch it... Roll Eyes

Rusty arm of the streetlight, causing it to be weak?

Please forgive me if my choice of my words looks like offensive, while that isn't my intention.

I hope that LED won't replace all forms of other lighting.

It looks like a Cooper OVX or OVZ, probably metal halide or HPS, so it's ok. I think Doron is correct, those weld joints get bad after a while.

I thought the weld was bad too. Or, they just used the cheapest pole they could find... Roll Eyes

Do you think the glass breaking sound was added? it just sounds too artificial to be real. Huh?
Also looks like the football took out the photocell.  Shocked

Those streetlights, especially cobraheads are heavy, maybe 45-55 pounds each, and not including the dead weight of the pole and wiring. The hex bar deadlift bar has a cracked weld from three years of lifting and dropping it (I did 135, not bad for a 5'2 stub, eh? Tongue).

I know. When I had my 70w PSMH ballast in my m250r2, it was very lightweight and I could easily carry it anywhere. Now with a 250w PSMH ballast, it has to at least weight 20 pounds. Shocked

That looks like a Crouse Hinds OVC. Probably High Pressure Sodium.
