South east, about 35 miles SSW of New Orleans.

Most interesting thing round here is the new bucket light they just put up at the intersection.

NOLA is an area I just hadn't gotten around.  I lived in DeRidder for a short time, and toured around that area.  I've also spent a fair amount of time around Lake Charles, Monroe and Baton Rouge.

Hi Phil welcome to LG

I am from Texas,  i been interested in lights since i was a kid,  i did not get into collecting when US gov starting to ban lighting stuff.  I also i got my first taste in british lighting. When i found Two of my Fitzergald light pack
LP 40s in Austin, Texas , then 110v LP 65 showed up on UK Ebay, same for LP30/28.  Then found another fizzy
2 x 8 bulkhead in Austin again.  Then I imported in white
Sided. 8 Ft pop pack, Later i found bit of hack to run the 8 foot pop pack on 60 Hz to leading cap from 50 Hz realm.  Because of simple hack it allowed me to run more  common 8 foot HO tubes on it.

Also Phil thorn tried to get going in America back in 80s
I have American made Thorn Sox 55er (beta 2 ). Also i have  Son Pak with American control gear. A sylvania made Thorn branded 50 watt HPS.  But they are more present in Canada than USA.  So i am always in the love for british lighting stuff.

No LED gadgets, spins too slowly.  Gotta  love preheat and MV. let the lights keep my meter spinning.
