History of Philips heat lamp « on: May 04, 2017, 10:35:41 AM » Author: graham525
Hello

I was wondering if anyone would know something about the history of a Philips heat lamp I have, which still works. I know it belonged to my Grandfather, and is at least 40 years old. The family story is that my Grandfather stole it from HMS Queen Elizabeth when he was serving in the Navy during WW2. I am interested in knowing if this is likely, or just a story he told. I was fond of telling me tall tales when I was a child. On it is written 13372 E/06, 240-250 V, 250 W and Made in Holland. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

There isn't a datecode, so it will be difficult to date it. I don't think that the lamp is from the tim of WW2 it doesn't look so old.

Best regards from France, Alex
