Dangling traffic light in the high winds got hit by a big box truck! « on: January 12, 2018, 07:19:06 AM » Author: lightinglover8902
When I was looking at the local news, they actually showed a dangling traffic light in the high winds, got hit by a box truck! I don't know it survived, because the guy holding the camera, looked away, it may had gotten damaged by the front, but I don't know for sure. I hate seeing that happen. Plus the light was still on, but on green, also, it was dangling by its own wire, that has inputted by the light.  :(

Hey if it falls take it (sarcasm)
I’ve always wanted a traffic light, I never got to see one closer than 3 feet away, that’s the closest I’ve ever been to one
Just hope it doesn’t injure anyone

I have a few traffic lights that I found in a ditch across from Highway 90 in Ocean Springs, MS after Hurricane Katrina knocked them off.  I also got a few streetlight parts that were blown into ditches.  I hate hurricanes, but they do provide some nice roadway collectibles.  I even got a whole streetlight (AEL Contempo 245 Post top) but I sold it about 12 years ago.  It was a 2003 model.  It had never been used.  It had been installed in a new neighborhood, but hadn't yet been connected.  I also had a couple of used AEL 125 Cobras that I sold.  They were both 1992 models, so they were about 13 years old when I sold them, $50.00 a piece.
