Unknown dual lamp MV fixture

Unknown dual lamp MV fixture

This is installed at local district heating back-up powerplant. Most likely from 70's. Not sure about it's wattage or model/manufacturer. I've always liked dual lamp HID fixtures, especially smaller wattage ones but those seems to be hard to obtain.

It is old Orno -lantern with asymmetric reflector, which is very rare. All models that I have seen have been symmetrical reflector..

Thank you for identificating this one. Should there be a front glass in this or is it a open style lantern?

It is usually open. There is also a model with a front grille. I don't know whether it was ever a model with the glass. Like this: http://www.muistaja.fi/imageinfo.php?id=70125&view=lres&prms=s_start%3D540&s_class%3D1&s_adv[0]%3Dinteri%25F6%25F6rit&s_advfrom[0]%3D2

I wish dual lamp HID fixtures were common in the US. They are a lot more interesting.

Any machine is a smoke machine if you operate it wrong enough.

And I like the idea of dual level lighting by using only one lamp or both, just like dual speed electric motors.
