Delamped before demolition

Delamped before demolition

Click to view full size image

This building is going to be demolished soon for construction of a light rail station. The HID and fluorescent fixtures and signs were all delamped and ballasts removed for recycling but I'm sure the fixtures will remain and be destroyed along with the building. These HIDs were metal halide but originally mercury.

Never seen this done before, around here they just plow everything without giving a flying f*ck as to what's in it.

It's more profitable keep as spare parts: if you sell to someone, you must sell at low price with the risk of angry customer if device fails early due age.
The rest, scrap metal: 100% recyclable with some value.

Arcblue, is this the old Levitz location on 44th Ave W in Lynnwood? I haven't driven by there in quite a while.
