That is a Cooper OVZ on the right.

The future of street lighting is Induction, not nasty HPS lights or cr@ppy LED lights!
Preheat CFL's should make a comeback!

Yes very different, the GE on newer A3 and R3 fixtures uses same refractor as the AE 125....the Coopers uses the same refractor as the biggest fixture shown here

Yeah. I don't know where you guys get these model numbers, but sorry to say the M400A3 and M-400R3 are fake...

i think those names were enthuasist given designations probably something easy to remember,it's already known that some of those aren't the real model numbers, but there's no need to get all worked up over it...sheesh.

Personally i think that all Lamp Bans are idiotic, the idea of telling us we cant use this lamp type just cause its less efficent is highly communist in nature...really what good is it going to do?

They are not fake.

I bet the M-400 R2's and A2's before the M-400 R3 came out just had them listed "M-400" or "M-400 A" Its just what they do. They have the official model number and then they have the model number on the catalog.

"They have the official model number and then they have the model number on the catalog."

The model number on the catalog is the "official model number". They don't do use two differnt ones because that would cause confusion and is pointless. The M-400R2 and M-400A2 have always been called the M-400R2 and M-400A2 because that is their model number. Just like I have always been called Michael, because that is my name. People don't call me Bob, because that is not my name, Michael is my name.

Anyway, all I am trying to say is that some of the model numbers floating on the gallery have just developed from us trying to better understand what light we are taliking about.
And I completely understand and acept that. Just like "gonna" has developed within the English language. It's not a word, but is understood by most, if not all of the people who speak and understand English. I'm not in anyway saying that calling the new M-400 and M-400A the M-400R3 and M-400A3 os wrong, I'm just pointing out that GE never really used that designation. I hope we are all on the same page now.

They have, however there have been models like the M400A1, that was a real model between the M400A and M400A2.
