Self-made battery adapter

Self-made battery adapter

I've built this adapter for my 4,5 volts torches to operate them with my rechargeable batteries. I was inexpensive and works very well. I've downloaded an old battery-label from a Petrix battery for the classic look ;-)

How do you do the 4 cell batteries (6 volts) if you needed to deliver 4.5 volts of electricity? Did you have to change to 6 volts light bulb as well?

Pretty, please no more Chinese failure.

Lechlanchev's cell have 1.5V only when not or only very loghtly loaded. When loaded with e.g. the bulb, the voltage drop down to ~1.1..1.3V, that's why 3.6V lamps are specified with "4.5V" batteries.
So with the original lamp, you should use 3 cells (as rechargeables hold the voltage better, so are in the same range as the Lechlanchev's under load).
With this creation you would have to use 4.8V lamps...

I remember here were some time ago sold converters: They have the shape of the 3R14 battery, but in fact they were a holder for three R6 (AA) cells. They were made of transparent plastic, but the surface was matt...
