Is it original to the fitting ? I see the lampholders are made for T12 and traditionnally T12 lamps were operated with either switch start or SRS.

I agree! Certainly a ballast you could trust unlike some of today's!

Yes it's original to the fitting! This particular type of fitting was introduced at the same time as the krypton T8s over here in the UK and was desinged for both T8s and the T12s. Available with standard switchstart control gear, Vivatronic (electronic) start gear and then later on, high frequency gear as seen here!
