Nearly killed Ikea L8 T5 tube by an battery operated inverter lantern

Nearly killed Ikea L8 T5 tube by an battery operated inverter lantern

Click to view full size image

This tube was used in my battery operated lantern and as my brother used it he didn't care that the power was low. I would say it only needed about 20 minutes to nearly kill this tube (only one end is black). This tube was originally made by Osram.

Cathode is still OK but has sputtered a lot. I think there isn't much left of it

I agree, put this on 220-240v magnetic gear and it will probably clear up a bit and last for ages.

Tube made November 2008 (Week 45).
