Ballast box

Ballast box

My ballast box design. I have a number of these...this one houses a standard 250w metal halide multi-tap autotransfomer ballast.

There is no socket. The twist-lock connector is there so I can attach it to an external socket that has a cord and male twist-lock connector, or to any fixture that I wired the same way. This allows me to move the ballast around to different fixtures. Now that I have almost enough ballasts for every fixture I have, I don't make them this way anymore (too expensive).
