My phone camera tends to over expose everything, so after a play with the settings ,I got a fairly true output of my coach lights at night.

This is our second, we had a Peugeot 406 about 8 years ago, but I do like Diesel engines more than petrol, and Peugeot make some of the best Diesel engines ever.

Diesel cars are more economical than petrol cars these days thanks to the new filter technology that collects the unburnt fuel and reignite it

I will give LEDisease a taste of my shoe

In Austria people are Diesel crazy There are more Diesel then petrol cars sold. Even after the VW-Scandal. I had a VW Tiguan TDi 2.0 for 4 years and do have now again a Tiguan with 1.4 petrol engine and its also my first car with HID headlights The difference between the two Tiguans is less then I thought regarding the engine but the HID headlights are really great. They also follow curves. I guess in the future the HID headlights will get replaced by LED...

I had a 1982 Ford Granada with Peugeots XD2 Diesel engine in, it was slow as a snail, but would pull a house down! , it was good on fuel too, considering the car was 2 tonnes!

VW emissions scandal:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_emissions_scandal

The new Opel (Vauxhall) Astra has matrix led headlights and regarding the test they are great.

Just looked at the Aveo on Google images, smart looking car, their about the same size as Peugeots 208.
We have a car dealer 2 towns over from me, that deals in imported US cars, round about 1995, my mate who likes his big cars, bought a 1980s Buik Regal from there, we use to love driving around in it, it was so out of place on UK roads, a bit like a tank!!

But what a smart car inside, it was huge!, with all fancy woodwork, luxury interior, arm rests the lot!

British cars of the 1980s never had ANY of that!, its just a shame petrol is so expensive here, or he would have kept it!

Peugeot is relatively uncommon here in Australia. They are around in small numbers along with Citroen. Renault is more popular.

I own a 2005 Subaru Outback 4wd wagon (based on a Subaru Legacy) and it's lit every night by 50W mercury lamp on photocell control.

In the future I will replace the mercury with SOX in the driveway for energy efficiency and the fact I love the amber glow.
