H8=August 1988. If it in fact says H6, it's two years older. I used to like the frosted glass version.

I think it is H8 but thought it could be 2008. I was trying to remember if Philips called them MBFR/U or HPLR in 1988.

Also, the Philips badge logo was removed from stamps in 2005, therefore 1988 it must be.
