A 400W "DX" color lamp-supposed to be "whiter" than a standard 400W HPS lamp.Have one of these in 250W.Has to run for awhile to get the DX color.You have to put some hours on it.

Interesting lamp, I wonder what application these were made for. A lot of them showed up a few years ago in Europe (they have E40 caps) but I don't know of applications here that could use a 400W rated lamp in the 250W size outer jacket. Also never saw it listed in any GE literature, I suppose it was custom made for some special application.
