That's a real shame, the German-made versions of these last forever. The only issue with them is that after a few years the colour 840's go a bit warmer in colour. Osram is rapidly losing their reputation as a quality lamp manufacturer with crap like this.

Oh no. The lumilux Osram's were really good tubes and now they are made in China :'-(

I hope at least Philips will still produce their Master tubes in Europe...

All Philips tubes sold here are made in Thailand now and are mostly Alto's, I don't think the Masters are imported here anymore.

I have noticed same thing that AJMAustNZ was talking about. after some use Osrams 840 really tend to look more warmer. Also, Osram energysaver T8's are not as good as Philips eco lamps and will suffer same color changing as regular Lumiluxes(and also tend to be more flickery than Philips ecos)

These lamps started to be sold in Home Center hardware shops recently.
I hope that there are still Osram Lumilux T8 made in Germany or Italy left.
My spare Osram FH 21W/840 HE T5 is still german made.

I"m don't speak English well, and rely on online translating to write in this site.
Please forgive me if my choice of my words looks like offensive, while that isn't my intention.

I did not see Osram Lumilux in there yesterday (just standard 765 China)

But i did see "warm white" Hyundai (China) which have higher Lm rating than the 765 so i guess that they are triphosphor. They have no exact color spec on them
