Halogen capsule in a "E" bulb.....never seen that before! What is the one on the right...is it a Soviet Era mercury lamp?

Manufactured articles should be made to be used, not made to be sold!

Mercury lamp production moved from Spandau to Nove Zamky....AGES AGO, then more recently it moved on to FoShan. These E-Bulbs must have been surplus at Nove Zamky, so they are using them up like this rather than shiping them to FoShan.

These will probably abruptly cease when the surplus bulbs are used up Alex, because the molds would have gone to FoShan with the move of HQL production to there.

I've got LOADS of DJH GLS retrofits in A55 bulbs with Eichstatt inners and Nove Zamky outers!

Interesting, I have not seen a Nove Zamky SON here yet.....but that's not to say they exist!

All of our NAV-T's used in streetlights are now from FoShan. I think they were from Nove Zamky before, back about 2004, I probably have examples buried in the collection.
I wonder do the arc tubes of these SON/I's come from Nove Zamky too or are they still bought in from Spandau?

I have some of the Nove Zamky SON-T and maybe a SON-E in 100..150W as well. Those are from 2006ish. 1 of the 2006 150W SON-T's came in a lanten which is now in my collection. Last time i seen that lantern cycling was around 2007, lantern taken down from road service in late 2014. So the lamp lasted 7+ years of full night and is still good now

I have some Foshan SON-T's too but the most recently SON-E 70 /I i bought (a couple months ago) was a Nove Zamky. And that is from a high traffic warehouse so it is unlikely to be NOS, unless they dug out that box from somewhere

Interesting lamps here!
Recently I took over the stock of new lamps from a council. The box contains a couple of NAV-T Super 250W all from different era and factory. So far I remember there is one from Great Britain, one from China, one or two from Germany and one from Brasil. But the most recent ones are from Nove Zamky Slavakia. They seem to be from later than 2000 but I don't know how they could find the way up to Switzerland as we now still have them from Slovakia.

What brand is marked in the Brazilian one Micheal? It is a very rare lamp at the best of times as all H.I.D. plants in Brazil have long been closed. I have a few Brazilian Mercury lamps, but no HPS or Metal Halides.

Others to look out for is the Reims plant in France, (Sylvania-ITT) and the Bari plant in Italy, (Osram).
