This is not incandescent ballasted. There's an actual ballast inside the casing.

This is just too darn cool! What I'd give to get a hold of one of these!

Nice, I have one from 2005. It's used but it seems to have low use.

Good quality things are awesome. Cheaply made things are not.

I got this one brand new! It has maybe about 30 minutes of use on it.

I am 11 years old and I love to collect lights.

I've had one, and even posted videos of it during start ups. These are awesome -- but mine went EOL several months ago. About 3 years of constant
on and off usage. Mine was the same brand (Philips) and wattage (25w) as yours.
Yooo... keep this in mind: there are also 24w ones from Sylvania, and 23w ones from GE. All Ceramic Metal Halides, and all self ballasted.
I still have yet to purchase those and I most certainly will.

Interests:
1. Motorcycles, cars, Women, and Lighting (especially fluorescent)
2. Weightlifting/staying extremely athletic
3. Severe Thunderstorms of all kinds
4. Food and drinks. So gimme them bbq ribs
Lighting has ALWAYS been a passion of mine. I consider everyone on here to be a friend

I have the 240V version which I am told is super rare. They are available, but you've got to look hard, I had to get mine from Germany.

Cool lamp! I wonder if those was used at shopping malls.

I think 2012 and up manufacturing dates would be rare, since in 2012, at least in the EU and here was the "modern lighting boom", and Philips and others would switched almost all of their products to CFL and LED. I think that lamp was discontionued and switched to CFL or LED, since those are """more efficient for its porpuse""".
