Here's another place that looks great thanks to sodium light colour. The railway underpass may look a bit spooky at night but strong neutral white light would completely kill its atmosphere.
Maybe some of those "vintage style" 2200K LEDs would be acceptable but these low wattage SON-T (HPS) lamps are simply perfect for the place.

There's a non-functional fixture (probably EOLed lamp) in the last segment before the end wall (there is a staircase to the left.) If you come down from the outside daylight - you enter a fair darkness. But it's only like 5m (16ft.) until the light of the first working fixture.
Two older ladies saw me near the dark part (I'm a big /or at least tall/ man) and they looked a bit scared.

Not a misoLEDist...
