Here I picked this up at Ace of Sandy Springs at Sandy Springs, GA, USA today (2013-11-11) to my surprise that they still make them. This one set me back US $6.99 a package.

I didn't think they still made these. I liked them - they are bright and have a good life. I'll have to stock up on some before next year's ban! I liked the older packaging better, though.

Pride and quality workmanship should lie behind manufacturing, not greed.

I just bought my first one of these today, the white version in the older packaging for $1.49. I was expecting a slightly higher color temperature, but they look just like a soft white. Otherwise a nice bulb, though.

Yeah, they will be banned with 60 and 40 Watt bulbs 1/1/14. These 60 Watt - 3,000 hour - 900 lumen halogen bulbs will be replaced by 43 Watt - 1,000 hour - 750 lumen halogen bulbs, or 53 Watt - 1,000 hour - 1,050 lumen halogen bulbs.

Pride and quality workmanship should lie behind manufacturing, not greed.

This was made in October 2012. Interesting how these switched from the GE Edison halogen packaging to the more common color coded GE packaging.

Philips DuraMax and GE Miser forever!  Classic incandescents are the best incandescents! Stop the lamp bans!

I wish today's eco halogen lamps would bring back the BT shape it's getting so mundane to have only GLS and Candle available

I will give LEDisease a taste of my shoe
