3 of my 10 Leviton snap switches

These have a nice hard "SNAP!" when the switches are flipped. I might try to get my dad to let me replace my current bedroom light switch (a modern Lutron dimmer (I never dim the lights)) with one of these. I doubt he'll say yes but it's worth a try.

Nice! Looks like we have identical cases. Mine say 7-69 on the flap too! These are nice switches. I still prefer the Circle F ones though I think. I just have a thing for Circle F lol. Their switches have an even harder snap than these! I like the longer handles on them too, though the small handles on the Levitons are cool too and I like the logo on the end of the toggle.

To resist is to piss in the wind, anyone who does will end up smelling.

Which Circle F snap switches are you talking about? The ones that you found in your high school shop class (abour 3.5 years ago) or the ones that you posted a week ago?

Don't be fooLED, T8 IS the worst thing to do to a magnetic T12 fixture.

Both. They're identical except that the ones from school don't have "F" on the end of the toggle. The ones I got from school are newer. The ones from this ebay seller were from 1957!

Wow! I guess they used stronger springs for even better quality back then. Do you think my parents will allow me to install one in my room?

Yeah I guess.

Sure, tell them these are safer because they're better built. A lot of newer resi-grade switches arc, especially if they're controlling CFLs or electronic linear fluorescents.

The one I want to replace is a modern dimmer controlling the 4 recessed lights in my room. It doesn't arc, I just think the snap switch will be more interesting.

What lamps do you have in the recessed lights in your room?

-Date decoder of most US lamps 1960-present.

-Collects all types of lights.

I'll save any vintage lamp... dead or alive! Smiley

They have LED retrofit kits in them.
