sox ballast

I found this in a box of junk when I was cleaning out some stuff at the supply house. I have no idea if it works as I don't have a 35 or 55 watt Sox lamp yet. If it works I am going to put it in one of my HPS nema heads. Hopefully I can take out the capacitor as it will not fit in the nema head.

wow nice ballast. I have one of those in my Verd A ray fixture, I found a 55 watt sox at 1000bulbs
I am lucky that Live close to branch store in Texas. and did not have to pay shipping on lamps.
also dont bother shopping for SOX in UK as it a rip off over there for some odd reason, as UK members are
(...)ing and moaning about sox prices. also look on Ebay for sox lamps. otherwise you will be addicted to
sox light.

No LED gadgets, spins too slowly.  Gotta  love preheat and MV. let the lights keep my meter spinning.

Yes, it works I put it in a NEMA head. I did not use the capacitor as it would not fit with it.

Cool, the cap won't make a big impact on the ballast.
