I did not know this 12 volt auto lamp go that far back
Base reads GE Mazda
21 candle power. Square 1141 Square i wonder if that the date code or a lamp number?

1141 is bulb type S-8 S C bayonet 12.8v 1.44a hope this helps from G-E 1983 catalog.

Interested in the history of electric lighting and incandescent in particular and neon glow lamps.

This still a quite a finds for a older Auto lamps
And number made sense as it was close
To the 1156 that junky uses. All i know
12 volt system on autos were fairly new
Back then.

No LED gadgets, spins too slowly.  Gotta  love preheat and MV. let the lights keep my meter spinning.

You are welcome any other number info that may be in that catalog just shout. BTW the early electrics were 6v the main problem was that the contacts etc had to be really clean but using 12v solved all that. The VW Beetle used 6v and this was a problem that they brought out a 12v conversion.
