Sorry to break your bubble but that's not early 70s. The 50w lamp was introduced only in 1978 as an A23 shape with medium base, and an E23 shape with a mogul base came in 1979. Also the red sleeve style did not come out until 1976. Your lamp has 4 and 6 on the etch, in this case it dates to October 1983.
