Any machine is a smoke machine if you operate it wrong enough.

The horse arena has 2d bulkheads that are round, but they take forever to start up and have yellow lens.

Dave very nice find, i wonder if Thorn made these to interduce 2d here, as i have a 25 to 30 watt advance ballast state to run 2d lamps
This prolly need saving as this might get ripped out.

No LED gadgets, spins too slowly.  Gotta  love preheat and MV. let the lights keep my meter spinning.

Nice! I'd expect a MV or low-wattage PSMH in a fixture like this lol.

Would a standard 22/32 curcline ballast run two 2d lamps? Or a NPF f40 ballast.

@ Fluorofan: Nope 2Ds are really rare here (at least as far as I know). I've never seen a lamp in person! I'd actually never heard of them until joining here. I think the Circline fluorescents were much more common here.

I have seen 2d lamps in stores but never a fixture for them.

The circlines are much less popular but not rare in the UK as the variety of 2D lanterns are much wider than the choice of fixtures for the circline
