Great photo, Pittsburgh used to have Westinghouse OV-25s throughout the city until they were replaced with GE M-400A2s in the late 1980's.

I was with J-Frog that day. I feel these OV-25s may have been cannibalized by glowing computer chips in "beta males" (my nickname for the betaleds) or toylets (the leotek greencobra).

May all the great lighting technologies have their place in history.

We still have a number of them in service, mostly HPS with a few MV too. The smaller OV-15 is a lot more common though. LED for major public road lighting is still in it's infancy here. The BetaLED is by far the most common LED streetlight being installed here though where LED is being used.

I've seen no Leoteks here though fortunately, as from the photos I've seen of them on LG they are the ugliest LED I've ever seen.
