Neat!
Does this use a standard M90 100W MH ballast or is a special CMH ballast needed?

Yes, a M-90 is all you need.

Cool. I have an M90 Ballast that I got when my apartment complex went LED.
How much do these normally go for?

SWEET! This MH will kick the A$$ off of any LED piece of crap in efficiency, and even life and lumen maintenance. Why LED's are such a hot trend just escapes me---there has never been any light source so BORING as a bunch of diodes with phosphors slapped on them on a phenolic board, and NO optics at ALL. LED's are as exciting as watching oil based paint dry on a 30 degree day! Ho Hum. Well anyway, Dave, she is a beauty! I have an M90 MH over my small bench in the cellar, and it has a NOS Hungarian GE CMH PAR38 lamp of which I got several for 3 dollars at a truck show/swap meet a few years back, the guy didn't know or care that these were EXPENSIVE HID lamps, so I took them home for literally pocket change! the fixture is mogul base, remote ballasted, so I could use one of these lamps in it. I may remove the M90 ballast and use it elsewhere, and go back to merc in that light though, the MH is nice, but the merc was just BLISS to work under! The powerball is a sweet lamp, let's hope Sylvania keeps making this LED killer! Cheers! Rick.

Lamplover, I got the ballast for free, well for working in my friend's garage, lol. I'm not sure how much they retail for, just look around online.

Rick, CMH lamps are durable! The Walgreens down the street got GE 250w CMH lamps in the parking lot, not a single one failed since the store opened 6 years ago!

Very nice. I have a Philips 100w CMH in use at church, it is 2006 vintage. Very nice quality light. It only gets about 15-20 hours of use per year so it will last forever.

I'm having trouble finding a high CRI 50w CMH lamp, though. My guess is LED killed these, unfortunately.

Cool to see a CMH in mogul base and ET envelope. It's kinda like the Philips Halogena's bigger, more sophisticated brother.

I'm lampin...
