Which ReStore?

Collecting lamps is a side hobby but I think it's cool nonetheless.

They sold it for $25 but the lamp was only $5, so I can't complain to much since other websites want triple that, I wish they had the HPS ballast prices those where crazy cheap, I got Homebrewlights a 1000 watt HPS NOS ballast for all of $5.

Wow $5 for a 1000W HPS ballast is incredible! And NOS to boot! HID selection is extremely minimal at my local ReStores. Best I've found at my local two ReStores for HID is a medium base NOS 100W HPS and an NOS 70W PSMH canopy fixture.

Please check out my newly-updated website! McCann Lighting Company is where my street light collection is displayed in detail.

Not bad for the PSMH, i wonder how it ended up there ? It'd be quite expensive compared to Merc or ProbeMH things, not something one would order if he aint gonna use it

Most of the stuff I've found is tri-taps or quad taps so they are a universal replacement part so they are the type of items people will stock as spare parts, and the lights are commonly used lamps but there are huge LED retrofit grants going on right now, so the suppliers are dumping the shelves to fill them with products that are moving, storage also costs money so business wise it's better to donate them, take the charitable donation receipt the reduce your taxes and get them off the shelves and bring in something that will sell right away, they can always order more if some one needs them after they try selling them an LED.. And while I know this will upset some people because HID is getting replaced by LED, but on the flip side some of the younger member on this site have been able to get there hands on great new HID gear they otherwise would of only dreamed of owning or gotten raked over the coals to buy for a fraction of the cost, a 1000 Watt ballast for $5 is a steal there is more then $5 worth of scrap copper in it...

Streetlights98, want one ? shipping from Canada to the USA is a bit high but it's still half the price of ordering one from some where like 1000 bulbs, and they are brand new in factory boxes with the factory crimps on the leads, and I've found just about every wattage HPS comes in 1000, 400, 250, 150, 100, 70, 50, 35 complete with lamps ( well no 1000 W lamps ) and metal halide in all sorts of wattage's and even self ballasted PAR 38 lamps, a few MV and no LPS stuff...

Thanks for the offer on the 1000W HPS ballast but I'm all set. Too much orange for me LMAO. If you find a dirt cheap 175 or 400W MH ballasts or 50-100W PSMH ballasts I might be interested in one of those.

Five bucks for a 1kW HPS ballast. I might be interested in one if the shipping to Toronto isn't terribly expensive. I have a couple of 1kW lamps I found for cheap at my local Restore but no ballast. Might also be interested in a couple 35w-50w ballasts if they're this cheap

They are about $25 new here as well, this one came from Habitat for Humanities Re-Store, they sell used and donated building stuff, from lights to toilets to the kitchen sink and with the money they make they build communities and prevent people from becoming homeless it is a listed Charity organization, and with all the LED retrofits going on they are getting lots of HID stuff donated and they often sell it for pennies on the dollar, I've seen CHM from Philips sell for 50 cents new in the box there..
