Love these lamps. Ive got a few. Only thing i dislike is the etch as its easily rubbed off. Other than that, These the GEC and early Philips are just amazing lamps

Yeah I seen that, is a nice lamp though.
This was taken on a little compact camera when I was just getting back into digital. I need to re-do all these old ones with a DSLR.

They have to be in a vaccume to keep heat in, old so/h lamps had a dewar jacket that acked like a vacuum flask
the so standscfor sodium and the x means ir coating sox
