WAAAAY in the back by the door, lol. Again, not my best work, but this switch's feeds were a little neater. This wall is finished on both sides so no way to back-feed the box. However, ideally I should have run a 3/4" EMT with both NM cables inside it and used a square box but my grandpa couldn't justify spending the extra amount of money to make it look pretty lol. I did the best I could do within reason.
As you can see, I made sure to specify that we use furring strip between these two fixtures, as running cable perpendicular to joists and tacking it to the bottom of each joist if a code violation. Interestingly enough, there were no instances I saw of new wiring being run that way, which was a relief since I see it all the time in older homes that have had work done. The original K&T wiring in this house was run randomly though, with little rhyme or reason to its path lol. I'm sure it made sense back in the day but not now lol.
