Simple semi-series resonant leak-autotransformer gear with THREE series connected cold cathode tubes

Simple semi-series resonant leak-autotransformer gear with THREE series connected cold cathode tubes

LG Member, "Men of God", from ShanDong, China, is attempting to understand a 100v ballast from Japan. This is one of a series of diagrams helping him in this regard.

Other members please pear in mind that this member, due to the "Great Golden Shield" or "Great Firewall" of China does not have access to Wikipaedia, You Tube, Google Translate or much of anything else....it is a sheer miracle he is actually here on LG.

Please treat him well and understand his difficult situation.

Is that based on the voltage divider principle on these bulbs here, Andrew?

Pretty, please no more Chinese failure.

It is just three lamps in series Robert.

The capacitors allow a greater proportion of the open circuit voltage to be applied to the bottom most lamp before any lamps start...so this lamp starts first...and so on up the string of three!

Manufactured articles should be made to be used, not made to be sold!
