My local restore actually had something worth buying today ! 3- GE 400w HPS Ballasts with 2-capacitors and 2- ignitors. I've known about these for almost a year but never bought them since they were $75 EACH !!! (UH... NO!) today all three were in a plastic bin instead of the original boxes with no price, I asked a employee and he quoted me $2 ea. MUCH BETTER !.

Nice finds! These can run 400 watt metal halide or mercury vapor with the ignitor removed.

Don't be fooLED, T8 IS the worst thing to do to a magnetic T12 fixture.

I know mercury vapor is 3.2 amps and I'm pretty sure HPS and merc ballasts are compatible 250 watts and above as long as you remove the ignitor for probe start MH and mercury vapor.
