WOW
What an absolute monster of a ballast!
I wonder why it is so big? Do the lamps operate in parallel by chance?

Colored Fluorescent's such as F40T12 Red or  Green or Blue are awesome...

Weighing in at roughly 40-50 lbs! I dont know about the parallel portion but I do know the coils run 3/4 the way down the ballast! I was told the coils are longer to reduce heat and reduce magnetic strain on the ballast there for extending the life of the ballast! True or not that's what I was told!

40-50lbs that ballast needs quite sturdy fixture just to withstand the weight of the ballast.

I"m don't speak English well, and rely on online translating to write in this site.
Please forgive me if my choice of my words looks like offensive, while that isn't my intention.

I only working with the European date format (dd.mm.yyyy).

Being sound rated "E" it's no louder than a normal vho ballast being a "D"!
