Here is the new ballast I ordered and is currently on the way. I paid $75 US for it or about 100 Canadian. plus shipping. This will be intended for use and the old lossy ballast I have will be retired. I will be placing orders for some new 18w SOX lamps next month.

Please note: picture from the ad listing, credit belongs to the seller. Photo will be replaced with my own upon its arrival.

Unfortunately yes but it was the lowest I could find one for and I needed a better ballast. All the other ads on ebay wanted 200 - 300 for them

I bought one from this same seller after I got the six lamps at Habitat ReStore. I need to modify a fixture to fit it.

How much ballast losses does this have? I saw someone test one with a kill-a-watt and with ballast losses it added up to over 50 watts! kind of kills the point of the efficiency of LPS if you ask me.

Any machine is a smoke machine if you operate it wrong enough.

Where did you get this from? I haven't been able to find any for under $250.
