Magnetek Watt Reducer Rapid Start Ballast

Magnetek Watt Reducer Rapid Start Ballast

I just got this ballast today. It is a Magnetek. I think it makes better startup flicker than my Advance ballasts. Plus, it has long wires, unlike the rest of my rapid start F40 ballasts (my F32T8 magnetic ballast is long wire).

This is the same type of ballast I used to do the series preheat circuit! The Magnetek seems to have enough juice to fire the two starters. I tried the exact same circuit with a Mark 3 Energy Saver though and it didn't quite have the required power to fire the two starters.

Thanks for the compliment! I thought the classic magnetic rapid start ballast was vastly underrepresented on Wikipedia. Problem solved.

Is there a date stamp under the ballast?

Pretty, please no more Chinese failure.
