What Not To Do

What Not To Do

Don't use the cheapest camera you can get for lighting photos. This was taken with a cheapo Vivitar camera that my (now passed) grandfather gave me. The viewfinder on it was pointed straight at this light fixture, but it is obviously off-center.

Your other photos look like taken by a decent DSLR(?) camera. That's quite rare here and I appreciate that.

I normally use a Fujifilm X-T1, and most of my earlier (also lower quality) photos were taken with a Pentax WG-10.

X-T1 is already a "prosumer" grade camera (high-end for consumers and also applicable for pros).
What lens do you use? Your outdoor lantern shots look very good.

Never been a fan of those "boob lights".

Please check out my newly-updated website! McCann Lighting Company is where my street light collection is displayed in detail.
