Is it a snap switch?

Don't be fooLED, T8 IS the worst thing to do to a magnetic T12 fixture.

It isn't, but the click sounds like a circuit breaker switch.

Collecting lamps is a side hobby but I think it's cool nonetheless.

1HP is about 14A so I would say this is a 15A switch

1 HP is 746 watts, which is slightly less than 6.25 amps. Very weird switch! I believe it is actually intended as a motor control for an industrial application. I don't think Square D made "normal" switches, though they did buy out Rodale, a light switch manufacturer.

Please check out my newly-updated website! McCann Lighting Company is where my street light collection is displayed in detail.

Why does it have 3 terminals?
