Adjusted the picture for this effect. I use as my wallpaper on the phone.
This line was an interconnect of the power plant in Seal Beach and San Bernardino, CA about 60+ miles or about 100 km. It was built in 1930 when Southern California Edison SCE was still 50 cycles and then utility Southern Sierras Power SSP and Los Angeles Gas and Electric LAGE were 60 cycles. This is the 60 cycle interconnect that ran through the 50 cycle SCE territory. It operated at 115kV. Most of this line has been removed as the LAGE Seal Beach plant was demolished in 1967.

Nice picture Rick! The power lines go over the I-10 and the Union Pacific yard too, right?

Power provider: Southern California Edison (SCE)

-Date decoder of some US lamps 1960-present.
-Switch and receptacle collector.
