A cathode from Power-twist tube (Duro-test)

I had one Power-twist tube in my collection that seemed to have no vacuum. I decided to smash it open to see how the cathodes look. I have never seen anything like such a guard - it's a square. so weird. The tube was made in USA but I can see that stem construction is very similar to Tungsram. The filament was broken, but it was straight wound double coiled filament, that was caked in emitter.
