Bought some ampoules with supposedly pure gases (ebay-Austria, somewhat expensive). Used a naked CMOS body. 99.99% pure? My ass! Many are contaminated with Nitrogen. Lit by inducing a very hi-voltage & hi-frequency across the coils. There are small differences in the spectral lines between the gap and near the coils. Confusing with all impurities. Argon contains O2 and everything below N2 contain N2. Bah |
