It look good condition, and megged out tested ok, i do a smoke test when i get time. It seems a utilty company just. Made stupid excuse of not relamping this or changing the PC, prolly fell for EOLED

No LED gadgets, spins too slowly.  Gotta  love preheat and MV. let the lights keep my meter spinning.

There's another possibility. Could been a partial downed arm or pole. Went down just enough to shatter the sockets and bulbs. The other pic I can see the bulb's base stuck in the socket. So no planned upgrade to LEDs. Just spot replacement with a new pole. Could be another HPS. Or mebbe LED.

EOLed doesn't make any sense. Never did. Either it's Enhanced Optics LED then it's plausible. If you mean End Of Lifed, why would anyone install a dead fixture in the first place?

Why I like LEDs on top of other lighting tech?
LEDs = Upgrade 95% of the applications. (That is if you avoid eBay's LEDs).

LED brainwash? No, people uses them cuz they work well for them.

Does that scrap yard have a contract with the utility? Also, don't mention the name of the scrap yard, remember liability issues.

Thsnk u dave fior your suggestions dave. anyway pile prolly already gone by now as workers Was working on the pile. Busting them up. to seperate ballast from cast alum shell. If i was there a hour ago i prolly can save a few heads. To save any lights at scrap yard u pretty much have to be in right place at
Right time. Because they dont have time to pull out what u want to save for 1 or two items.

Good saves Jeremy, pity that the porcelain on the sockets got cracked but the ballasts look like in good condition.

Long live the great old 20th century quality in electrical & lighting products!
